Reds drawn with Boro, Sunderland and West Ham in U18 PL Cup

Liverpool U18s have been drawn alongside Middlesbrough, Sunderland and West Ham United in Group D of the inaugural U18 Premier League Cup.

Steven Gerrard’s side will face each of the three teams once, either home or away, with the winner of the section progressing to the tournament’s quarter-finals.

The two best runners-up in the six overall groups will also claim a place in the last eight, with the format then becoming a knockout system in one-off ties.

Gerrard’s charges drew 1-1 at Derby County in their opening U18 Premier League match of the season on Friday afternoon.
