Alves nets twice as U23s lose Denmark friendly

Paulo Alves scored twice as Liverpool U23s lost 4-2 away to FC Nordsjælland in a friendly encounter on Tuesday night.

The Danish Premier League outfit proved to be a strong side and they raced into a 3-1 lead halfway through the second half.

The players then had to leave the field after a thunder and lightning storm, but after a 15 minute break, the game resumed and two further goals were scored as Neil Critchley's side lost 4-2.

Liverpool U23s: Grabara, Whelan, Hart (Jones, 45), Masterson, Parker, Johnston, Williams (Phillips, 45), Kane (Virtue, 7) Gomes, Dhanda (Brewster, 45), Alves.
