U18s bring cheer to children at Alder Hey

Liverpool U18s made a special visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in West Derby earlier this week to meet young patients and deliver gifts.

The Academy players brought smiles to the faces of the children as they handed out presents and spoke with parents during their trip to the hospital.

U18s defender Adam Lewis said: "It is brilliant to be able to visit Alder Hey and bring a smile to the children's faces. All of the kids are so brave and manage to stay positive despite it being so tough for them and are a real inspiration to us as players.

"Coming to Alder Hey and seeing the reaction of the kids is so nice and I hope that we are able to give them a boost as they look to overcome illness."

Gill Kennedy from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital said: "We were once again delighted to welcome the U18s squad from Liverpool Football Club.

"Our patients and families loved meeting and chatting with the boys today. Alder Hey has a fantastic relationship with Liverpool Football Club and we hope to see them all again very soon."
