After winning their opening six matches in the division, Neil Critchley's side suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 2-0 to Derby County at St George's Park last Monday.
However, Critchley has called on his team to bounce back against United, who have won only one of their first seven PL2 games of the season.
Where is the game being played? The match is taking place at Leigh Sports Village, with kick-off set for 7pm BST.
How can I watch the game? Admission to the stadium is free for this fixture, and it will also be shown live on LFCTV and LFCTV GO. Our coverage starts at 6.30pm. Click here for details on how to sign up now.
Last season head-to-head: The young Reds drew 1-1 with United at Leigh, with Harry Wilson scoring a memorable backheel. In the return game at Anfield, United won 1-0.

"It was disappointing to lose our unbeaten start to the season at Derby but there’s no better way for us to bounce back than playing Manchester United. Because of the history of both clubs, when Liverpool meet Manchester United at any level there’s a bit more on the game with both sides desperate to win, but our approach will be just like any other game with our objective to try to win.
“We are looking forward to playing at Leigh. I’m sure there will be a few supporters there and the players will all want to be in our team."

"It goes without saying that we were disappointed with our performance against Derby, but what better a game than Manchester United for us to try and bounce back. I can tell you the lads are as determined as ever to try and get back to winning ways.
"We have started the season well, and apart from Derby we won six out of six. You are not going to play well all of the time and unfortunately we weren't at our best against Derby.
"There's no doubt about it this team will bounce back, 100 per cent. We have a great group of lads and Derby was hopefully just a blip and we can get back at it against United. These are the games everyone wants to play in and we've got to go out there and put in a performance."
