Head-to-head: Last season at Prenton Park, in front of the watching Jürgen Klopp, the young Reds produced a sparkling display to beat the Foxes 4-0 with all four goals coming in the opening 45 minutes. Danny Ings, Ben Woodburn, Harry Wilson and Ovie Ejaria all netted. In the return fixture, Liverpool came from behind to win 3-1 with Rhian Brewster, Matty Virtue and Wilson on the mark.

"This is a different test to Manchester United but tougher in different ways. They will be very well organised and tough to beat. Their coach Steve Beaglehole has been with them for a number of years. He is very experienced and very good at getting the best out of his players so we expect a very tough game.
"They haven’t scored many goals but they haven’t conceded many either and are hard to break down. We will have to be really concentrated in our possession and patient in our play if we want to try and break them down and win the game."

“After making such a strong start to the season and picking up a lot of points we were disappointed to lose at Derby County in tough conditions, so we were desperate for the United game to come around because the lads wanted to get back out there and put right the wrongs. We were delighted to do that.
“I had a few chances in the game and I managed to get a goal. It was a great pass from Marko Grujic and I just gambled. Thankfully the ball fell into my path and I was able to put it away.
“I enjoyed playing up front alongside Danny Ings. With his movement and his finishing it’s great for me to learn off someone like him.
“Leicester will be a tough team. They are good defensively and they are very good on the counter-attack, but hopefully we can play our normal game and continue on winning ways. "
