From comeback victories to last-gasp draws, the past few seasons have seen the Reds earn some fantastic results against their Merseyside rivals.
Take a look back at five of the best below.
September 22, 2017: Liverpool U18s 3-1 Everton
In Steven Gerrard’s first derby as U18s manager, his Liverpool side produced a superb comeback to win 3-1 under the Kirkby floodlights. Anthony Gordon had fired the Blues into the lead before half-time but Curtis Jones produced a superb finish to equalise on 69 minutes - and the young Scouser’s second goal of the game was even better. Not long after making it 1-1, Jones met a corner on the volley and fired an unstoppable effort home before celebrating by jumping into Gerrard’s arms on the touchline. Rafael Camacho later made certain of victory with a brilliant individual effort.
January 14, 2017: Everton 1-2 Liverpool U18s
After losing the home fixture 4-1 to the Blues, Neil Critchley’s side produced a resolute display to earn revenge and three satisfying points. The young Reds took the lead on the half-hour mark when a superb pass from Rhian Brewster fed Camacho down the right and his pull-back was met by Okera Simmonds. Fraser Hornby levelled for the home side on 80 minutes from the penalty spot following a foul from Adam Lewis, but Yan Dhanda was to have the final word five minutes later. After good work from Brewster and Glen McAuley, Dhanda found space and drove an unstoppable left-footed effort into the net for the winner.
April 9, 2016: Everton 0-4 Liverpool U18s
The U18s made amends for the previous season's 5-0 defeat at Finch Farm with a fantastic performance in this play-off match. Adam Phillips opened the scoring after a lovely pass from Toni Gomes gave him the opportunity before Herbie Kane made it 2-0 from a free-kick on 47 minutes. Ben Woodburn then ran through to add a third with an excellent finish on 70 minutes and it was left to Trent Alexander-Arnold to make it 4-0 from the penalty spot after Phillips was fouled.
December 5, 2015: Liverpool U18s 2-1 Everton
On a blustery day in Kirkby, Woodburn gave a glimpse of his future potential with a superb display as the young Reds earned a narrow victory over the Blues. The Welsh youngster opened the scoring after just two minutes as he exchanged passes with Gomes before firing home and Phillips made it 2-0 from close range when he connected with an Alexander-Arnold cross. Delial Brewster netted late on for the Toffees but it was to prove just a consolation.
September 19, 2015: Everton 1-1 Liverpool U18s
A dramatic mini-derby at Finch Farm saw Liverpool rescue a draw in stoppage time. Kane put through his own net to give the Blues the lead and, when Conor Masterson was sent-off, it looked like the Blues would claim local bragging rights that day. However, in the 93rd minute, Phillips met a cross from deep to loop a header into the back of the net as the young Reds earned a share of the spoils.
