Alongside members of LFC staff, the Reds U14 and U13 sides harvested produce as well as being educated on the importance of health and nutrition by head of nutrition Mona Nemmer.
The youngsters also spent the afternoon working alongside LFC Chefs to harvest honey produced onsite, before carving pumpkins in the build up to Halloween.
On the visit, head of education and welfare Phil Roscoe said: "It’s great for the lads to be able to come down to the allotment to see first-hand where the club sources some of its produce, as well as giving the boys a valuable overview of the importance of eating healthily.
"Mona (Nemmer) and Tom (Maynard) reiterated the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and diet for their development and for good performance.
"It's very important for us that the kids learn and understand where the products are coming from. The lads also had fun carving the pumpkins with Halloween fast approaching!”
