Melkamu Frauendorf netted an opener within 28 seconds of last weekend's clash at the Academy kicking off, but the Blues levelled from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
Mateusz Musialowski subsequently slotted in an excellent finish, though, to secure a memorable victory as Reds legends Sir Kenny Dalglish and John Barnes watched on.
Bridge-Wilkinson's charges now turn their attentions to Saturday's home meeting with Manchester United in the U18 Premier League North.
Liverpool are currently top of the division on goals scored, level on points with United and Manchester City, who each have two games in hand.
Ahead of the 11am GMT kick-off in Kirkby, we spoke to Bridge-Wilkinson about the derby drama, facing United and more…
On the dramatic win over Everton in the mini-derby…
It was a great feeling. It was a great time to get the winner! Prior to it we were disappointed we conceded the penalty after we lost possession, which was a bit of poor play and then defensively we were a little bit wide open. It wasn't the greatest game by us but the boys stuck at it and showed a lot of character. We kept going until the end and thankfully they got something from it.
On the strong winning mentality in this group…
It's really important we have those characters in this team like Jarell [Quansah], Dom [Corness] and Chuck [James Norris]. Even the boys who are a little bit quieter they are still strong and they are still driven and they are still focused. Although you might not hear them as much, they are still there and they still want to win and want to succeed.
Watch: U18s 2-1 Everton - highlights
On finishing the game with four U16 players on the pitch…
Unfortunately, Dom took a bit of a whack and had to come off and we had to take Sean Wilson off as well. It was a tough day but the young boys came on and each one of them gave something to the game, so credit to them.
On taking the lead after just 28 seconds through Germany U16 captain Frauendorf…
Mel did really well for us and I was pleased for him. He had a couple of strong challenges on him, but he got up and got on with it, which is a credit to him. Sometimes emotions get the better of people but that goes both ways, so fair play to Everton because they played well and gave us a very tough test.
On Musialowski netting a superb winner…
It was a brilliant finish and great bit of play before it to take the touch and hit it with his left foot. Matty is more than capable of doing that on a more regular basis and that's something we are trying to help him with. I was a little bit disappointed with him in terms of the goal we conceded when he lost possession when they got the penalty, but that's part of development and he will learn from that. That's not a bad way to make up for that by getting us the winner at the other end! He is a good player, he missed a lot of football before he joined us and he is getting stronger and stronger as games go by.
On Saturday's home meeting with Manchester United…
Another good game for us to look forward to and hopefully we can play a little bit better with the ball and our style can be a bit more like we expect from us. We lost 4-3 away to Manchester United, a little unlucky but maybe we were a bit naïve as well if we are honest. We came back from 2-0 to lead 3-2 and we should have seen that out before we lost 4-3. So, we've got that in the back of our mind and we are focused on that now. With development we want boys to improve and to get them where they need to be, but I guess that feeling has got to stay with them, whether it's U18s, U23s or the first team.
