The exciting partnership will give players aged 10 to 17 the opportunity to take part in residential programmes in the UK, learning to play The Liverpool Way through football coaching sessions delivered by a team of experienced Reds coaches.
Courses will be delivered through a combination of player workshops and practical coaching sessions that follow the LFC Academy curriculum. Sessions will focus on the same principles and development priorities as the LFC Academy, giving participants an insight into the training program of young LFC players, which has successfully prepared a succession of players for LFC’s first team.
This flagship LFC coaching programme will begin in April 2018 and run until late August and will cover all aspects of the players’ programme including accommodation, meals, off-field support, pastoral care, kit and equipment as well as a tour of Anfield to finish off the week.
Club ambassador Ian Rush said: “We're excited to announce the launch of our brand new summer residential programme with Challenger Sports today.
"The programme will provide a fantastic all-round education for young players, both on and off the pitch, something that we're passionate about at LFC.
"This is a fantastic LFC experience for young players and we look forward to hosting many young players from around the world on these programmes next summer."
Challenger Sports’ global development director, Chris Sharman, said: “We are proud to be partnering with one of the greatest football clubs in the world and offering a truly exceptional residential camp experience for players from all corners of the globe.
“First-class coaching from the team at the LFC Academy will provide all players with an exclusive insight into what it takes to become a professional player along with a series of extra-curriculum options which include English Language and a Sports Leadership Qualification certified by Sports Leaders UK.
“We look forward to welcoming players from across the world and adding these exclusive residential camps to our existing offering of over 4,000 football camps run globally each year.”
