This season’s intake of OLSCs span the USA (The Palm Beaches, Carlsbad (CA), Charlottesville, Colombus and Philadelphia), India (Kolhapur and Nagaland), Europe (Berlin and Serbia) and Asia (Philippines and Hong Kong Region & Macau) - bringing 2,000 new members to join over 143, 000 fellow Reds in being officially recognised for their incredible support of Liverpool FC around the world.
LFC fan groups have been active for many years, with unofficial LFC Supporters Clubs beginning to form back in the late 1960s. In 1993, the club decided to formalise these groups with the creation of the International Supporters Clubs (ISC) network - known today as the OLSC network - and there are now 270 branches present in 88 countries worldwide.
Peter Moore, chief executive officer of Liverpool FC, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome these new Official Liverpool FC Supporters Clubs to the LFC family.
“As a Reds fan who lived abroad for many years, I know first-hand what it’s like to support the club from afar, so it’s really great to see so many of these groups come together to share their love of our club and recreate the special Anfield atmosphere wherever they are in the world.”
