The work will be powered by the LFC Foundation, which will run coaching clinics and events in conjunction with a number of local organisations in each of the three stops on the tour.
Matt Parish, Director of the LFC Foundation, said: “Being on tour and visiting our international LFC family is incredible. People in the cities we’re visiting experience need the same as at those at home, so while we’re out here it’s definitely the right thing to do to help where we can.”
While in Notre Dame, LFC Foundation coaches will work alongside Michiana Echo, which supports the development of children through football, as well as the Logan Centre, which supports people with disabilities.
Community members in Notre Dame will have the opportunity to take part in coaching clinics and meet and greets with both the LFC’s men’s and LFC Women teams.
In Boston, the LFC Foundation is working in partnership with the Red Sox Foundation to deliver activities and visits groups such as Boston Children’s Hospital, HomeBase, a military veterans programme, Boston Scores who run football and education-based programmes, as well as and visiting Camp Harbour View - a camp for young people which aims to provide them and their families with more well-rounded life experiences.
There will also be a gender equality session with young people taking place at Fenway Park.
On the tour’s last stop, the LFC Foundation will work with the Fire Department of New York on delivering coaching sessions for local children in Queens.
