The Reds’ official charity will be showcasing the transformative work it does in areas of high deprivation across the Liverpool city region and beyond.
Through the power of the LFC badge, LFC Foundation makes a huge difference in people’s lives – from providing sports and physical activity sessions for local children with complex and additional needs, to delivering projects that inspire young people to take their own positive action within their communities.
During the 2019-20 season, by harnessing the power and passion of our fans to improve the lives of others, the charity has delivered programmes to more than 28,000 children and young people.
There will be plenty of ways for fans to get involved in LFC Foundation Day this Saturday, either at the ground or online.
Pre-match, fans at Anfield will have the chance to take part in fun activities with LFC Foundation coaches in our Family and Fan Zones, and can find out more about how children, young people and families can join the range of programmes LFC Foundation offers.
There will also be a special edition of the official matchday programme, with content dedicated to LFC Foundation’s work.
Online, and in and around the stadium, supporters can play the LFC Lotto to support the charity’s military veterans and men’s health programmes.
It is the last super draw of 2019, so players not only have a chance to win a huge cash prize and LFC memorabilia but could also win two tickets to the Manchester United fixture on Sunday January 19 (terms and conditions apply).
Matt Parish, LFC Foundation director, said: “We are looking forward to marking our fifth LFC Foundation Day at Anfield this weekend.
“Foundation Day is an important celebration in our calendar because it provides an opportunity to showcase all the amazing work that is happening week in, week out, as well as acting as reminder to our fans that we want and need their support to enable us to continue doing what we do best.”
Fans based in the Main Stand and the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand hospitality lounges can also help support LFC Foundation’s work by taking part in a fundraising silent auction to win exclusive LFC and sporting memorabilia and money-can’t-buy experiences (terms and conditions apply).
