The annual awards recognise the best tours and activities across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, with this year’s nominations focusing on local travel experiences in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finalists are chosen via a selection criteria including good reviews, customer excellence, differentiation and contribution to the local community.
LFC’s Stadium Tours and museum reopened in June after a period of closure due to COVID-19 restrictions, with the experience now offering fans the chance to see the club’s latest piece of silverware – the Premier League trophy – up close.
To ensure visitor safety, extensive health and safety measures have been implemented, making the tour and museum a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Capacity is limited to allow visitors to maintain social distancing, alongside the installation of hand sanitiser stations and the addition of enhanced cleaning regimes.
Tom Cassidy, senior manager, tourism at Liverpool FC, said: “We were delighted to be able to welcome fans back to the LFC Stadium Tours and museum in June following a three-month closure, and we have worked hard to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for guests in line with social distancing and new industry guidelines.
“It’s fantastic to be nominated for this award and to be recognised for the efforts the team has made during these difficult times, as well as the fantastic experience we continue to provide to fans and visitors alike.”
Reds fans can vote for LFC’s Stadium Tours by clicking on the ‘Best Tours for Locals’ button here until August 29, 2020, with all voters entered into a draw to win one of three GetYourGuide gift cards worth £180.
