The 14 pensioners - a mix of local residents, Red Neighbours’ Monday Club attendees and occupants of the Bob Paisley Care Home - were invited to watch the Reds take on the Cherries earlier this month from an executive box.
After enjoying pre-match drinks and a dinner prepared by a private chef, the residents watched the Premier League match in comfort from prime seats in Anfield's Main Stand.
Supporting the elderly community is one of the four key focus areas of the Red Neighbours programme, alongside food poverty and education, encouraging a physically active community, and creating memorable experiences for young people.
Brenda Richards, who attends the Monday Club get-together for pensioners every month at Anfield, said: "Being invited to the match against Bournemouth was fabulous. Our seats were very good and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was lovely to be able to watch the game in comfort from the box."
