Pictures: Anfield hosts community activities at Palace game

A number of community activities took place at Anfield as Liverpool hosted Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

The club’s chief executive officer, Peter Moore, visited a foodbank collection point at the stadium to make a donation and met with Dave Kelly of the Fans Supporting Foodbanks initiative.

Reds legend John Barnes spent time with members of the local community who were invited to the game – which Jürgen Klopp’s side won 1-0 – by the Red Neighbours programme.

The group, including staff and young people from Breckfield and North Everton Neighbourhood Council, saw Sadio Mane earn three points for the home team.

Youngsters from North Liverpool Academy were also invited to attend the match through Red Neighbours and had the chance to greet the squad as they arrived before kick-off.
