The youngsters were invited to the new superstore at Anfield to go head-to-head at the football video game – with a surprise prize for the winners of the tournament.
Kids from Alsop High School, Notre Dame Catholic High School, Cardinal Heenan, the Academy of St Francis of Assisi, and the LFC Foundation Kicks project took part on the evening.
The tournament was organised by LFC’s Red Neighbours team as part of one of the initiative’s four key areas of focus: creating memorable experiences for young people.
It was won by two youngsters from Alsop High School, who went on to play against Flanagan and Wijnaldum as the final went to penalties – with the latter scoring the crucial winning goal as himself in the game.
