LFC Foundation's £100k Community Fund welcomes applications

The application window has opened for LFC Foundation's Community Fund.

The fund is available to help grassroots charities in Merseyside that support children and young people who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect – aligned to LFC Foundation’s mission to create life-changing opportunities for children and young people.

Registered charities and constituted community groups/clubs who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for grants of up to £3,000, and potentially more in exceptional circumstances.

Matt Parish, director of LFC Foundation, said: “We expect to receive plenty of applications to the Community Fund during the next few weeks, and we’re looking forward to supporting and learning about some of the fantastic projects and smaller charities on our doorstep.”

The LFC Foundation Community Fund has been set up using £100,000 of the funds raised from this year’s LFC Legends charity match and has been organised in association with a local charity, Radio City’s Cash for Kids, which will support the administration of the fund and the allocation of individual grants.

The £100,000 fund will be awarded to charities during the next 12 months, with two rounds of funding in June and September 2019.

To apply to the first round of funding, charities/organisations must submit their applications by June 10, 2019. Applications made between June 11 and September 16 will be considered in the second round of funding.
