In a bid to lift spirits around the hospital and reduce social isolation, Reds staff called into numerous wards to meet patients and their families, hand out gifts and offer photographs with the Champions League trophy.
Patients, visitors and hospital staff were also encouraged to get involved with lively sing-a-longs led by LFC club chaplain and Red Neighbours team member, Bill Bygroves.
"Visiting the Royal Liverpool Hospital is one of the highlights of our calendar," said Bill.
"Having the opportunity to visit so many patients and hopefully bring them a smile is just fantastic.
"We’re delighted to be able to also bring the Champions League trophy with us and give the patients the chance to have their photograph taken.
"Social isolation can be a real issue for those who are in hospital so we’re pleased to be able to do our bit to help reduce that."
Approximately 70 per cent of the patients accessing the Royal Liverpool Hospital are from the main area of focus for Red Neighbours - north Liverpool.
The programme aims to make a difference to those who live in and around Anfield through four key areas of need: food poverty and education, support for the elderly community, creating memorable experiences for young people, and encouraging a physically active community.
