The Albert Dock played host to the awards on its floating pontoon, which saw LFC CEO Peter Moore present the outstanding volunteers with their awards, alongside club legend Ian Callaghan and LFC Foundation director Matt Parish.
This is the first time the LFC Foundation has hosted a Volunteers Awards, in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, to recognise the work of their volunteers and the difference they make.
Last season, over 2,000 volunteer hours were donated to LFC Foundation programmes in the local community.
Nine awards were handed out during the evening, including the Volunteer of the Year 2019 Award, which was presented to Paul Fallows.
“I am so overwhelmed by this award and just delighted," Paul said. "I’ve been volunteering with the Foundation for over three years on their veterans’ programme and it’s something I really enjoy.
"It gives me purpose and the opportunity to give back to others like myself. I am a veteran and have suffered with depression and PTSD and volunteering really does help.”
