The club’s official charity delivered 30 ‘bags of kindness’ to Queenscourt Hospice, a Southport-based charity which is supporting young people who have suffered personal loss.
Each bag includes a range of club merchandise, such as an LFC backpack, colouring pencils, notepad and more.
Matt Parish, LFC Foundation director, said: “Many young people across Merseyside have been bereaved during this pandemic, and we wanted to try to bring a little joy to them in what we know is an extremely difficult time.
“We hope the gifts let the children know that everyone at the club is thinking of them and they’re not alone.”
Alison Meehan, child and family support practitioner at Queenscourt Hospice, said: “We can’t thank the LFC Foundation enough for this kind donation.
“We see it as our duty at Queenscourt Hospice to reach out to the young ones affected and with these bags of kindness we can offer much-needed support during their time of grief.”
