FEFA, which is nationally recognised as specialists in football and education, offers a range of football and educational opportunities for young people aged 16 to 19 to prepare them for their next career step.
Alongside its successful football programme, FEFA offers a varied curriculum, including specialist pathways in football development, sport science, coaching, personal training, business and a range of A-Levels.
Through the new LFC Foundation and Fowler Academy Partnership, young people will be able to benefit from the expertise of FEFA alongside the career opportunities that LFC Foundation offers.
FEFA technical director and Reds legend Fowler said: “This partnership represents two excellent organisations coming together to provide outstanding opportunities for young people in Liverpool and the wider region.
“Both Liverpool Football Club and the LFC Foundation are very close to my heart so this partnership feels like the perfect fit for us.
“The new partnership will provide opportunities for young people to play football at the highest level, benefiting from expert coaching and analysis support, whilst also studying for the future – offering real pathways with real results.”
Matt Parish, LFC Foundation director, added: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with FEFA and welcome the team to our LFC Foundation family.
“With Robbie’s links to the club and his status in Liverpool, the professional and high quality of FEFA’s offer and the fact that some of their provision is based at Anfield Sports and Community Centre – LFC Foundation’s home – made this an ideal match.
“Its football and education offer is outstanding, and their awards and results speak for themselves. This partnership will enable us to offer even more opportunities for local young people across the city region.”
Since FEFA was founded in 2015, it has achieved some impressive results, including 100 per cent of their students gaining their first choice university places, 52 students progressing into higher education, 26 students going on to play at both professional and semi-professional clubs, and seven students gaining scholarships in the USA.
