Over the past six weeks, 900 food parcels have been delivered to Anfield families in need of some extra help.
Every Monday, 150 food parcels were delivered, with each box providing a week's supply of food for a family of four. The food parcels also contain some of Homebaked's famous homemade pies and pastries for families to enjoy.
The club and its Red Neighbours team have a long-standing relationship with the community bakery, which plays an important role locally and supplies Anfield with a range of its artisan pies for its lounges on matchdays.
The support is part of the club's 'Unity is Strength' community response work, which is focusing its efforts on four key areas: food poverty, social isolation, physical activity and wellbeing, and volunteering.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the club, Red Neighbours and LFC Foundation have donated more than £300,000 in direct funds to support those in food poverty - including to the North Liverpool Foodbank and the Trussell Trust's Liverpool City Region foodbank network - and provided 53,000 freshly-prepared free meals (1,000 per week) to support local families.
Forbes Duff, senior manager of LFC's corporate social responsibility team, said: "It has been a pleasure to support the Homebaked team with the delivery of their fantastic family food parcels. We are neighbours and it's important for us to come together as a community and help each other where we can.
"Since the beginning of the latest lockdown we have scaled up our community response work to continue to help and support as many people as possible during this very difficult time, which is hitting many people in our communities hard."
