Red Neighbours' breakfast clubs return to Anfield

Red Neighbours' half-term breakfast clubs are set to return to Anfield next week.

It will be the first time in the 19 months since the COVID-19 outbreak that the club’s local community programme has welcomed youngsters from the L4, L5 and L6 areas to the stadium to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and fun activities alongside their families.

The event, to be held in Reds Lounge in the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand, will see more than 320 children from local schools enjoy a hearty breakfast, activities and games, along with a special visit from the club’s official mascot, Mighty Red, and Margaret Aspinall.

Forbes Duff, senior manager, Red Neighbours, said: “We are so pleased to be able to welcome the local community back to Anfield. The last two years have been a difficult time for everyone, and we are delighted to be back supporting our local schools to bring families together during half-term.”

Food poverty and education is one of the key areas of focus for the Red Neighbours programme, with a variety of activities and events taking place in the local community throughout the year.
