Today, our focus is on the statistics that underpinned the heroic efforts of Houllier's men over the course of 2000-01...
127 – goals were scored by Liverpool in the season, at a rate of almost precisely two per match
117 – the minute of the Golden Goal that earned the Reds the UEFA Cup in Dortmund
69 – points was the club’s highest tally in the league since 1995-96
