The Englishman made his first and only appearance of the campaign as a substitute against Chelsea last month, after sustaining a thigh injury in pre-season.
Lallana is in full training with his teammates again but, with a host of games ahead of the Reds in December and January, his comeback must be planned precisely to ensure the most beneficial impact.
“Adam is back in training completely normally but of course he needs to build up again. That’s how it is,” said Jürgen Klopp at his pre-West Bromwich Albion press conference.
“But he is good. He trains completely normally. We have to see what we do with him because we need him for the next few weeks, 100 per cent.
“We should not need him for tomorrow but then, step by step, we need to see how we can bring him in match fitness shape. That’s it. We have to see, but he is in a good way.”
