Salah equals Fowler record for left-footed goals

Yet another long-standing record succumbed to Mohamed Salah's goalscoring exploits on Sunday.

The Egyptian’s clinical finish from Roberto Firmino’s back-heel assist against Southampton was the 19th Premier League strike with his left foot this season.

Salah therefore matched Robbie Fowler’s left-foot haul for the Reds during the 1994-95 campaign – previously the most in the division’s history – and, of course, has 11 more games to surpass that tally outright.

The No.11 has scored one header, at Leicester City, and two with his right, against Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
