Liverpool's manager was nominated for the prize on Tuesday in recognition of a 12-month period that included leading the Reds to the 2017-18 Champions League final.
Also in the running for the accolade are Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus), Stanislav Cherchesov (Russia), Zlatko Dalic (Croatia), Didier Deschamps (France), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Roberto Martinez (Belgium), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid), Gareth Southgate (England), Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona) and Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid).
The award will be presented at a ceremony in London on September 24, with supporters able to join national team coaches and captains, as well as journalists, in deciding which of the 11 nominees wins.
