Loan watch: Wilson wants to kick on after first Derby goal

On-loan Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has vowed to 'kick on' after scoring his first goal for Derby County at the weekend.

The Wales international got the Rams back on level terms in their Championship meeting with Brentford on Saturday when he finished off a rapid counter-attack that he helped launch from an opposition corner.

Frank Lampard’s side went on to win 3-1 and Wilson, now fit again following a recent injury, is determined to use his strike as a catalyst.

“Now I’m back in the starting XI, picked up a goal and I’m just looking forward from here,” the 21-year-old told RamsTV. “I’ve been desperate to get back out there, so to get my first goal I’m looking to kick on from there.”
