The 21-year-old has performed outstandingly at both centre-back and right-back during what has been an impressive opening to the 2018-19 campaign by the Reds.
However, Gomez thinks there is plenty more to come as he continues developing.
“I’m just enjoying playing, I’m just learning. I’m still young [and] obviously I’ve got a lot to learn. I’m far from the finished article,” the England international says, on the latest edition of LFC Later.
“Last season I had some exposure to Premier League football, I played a few more games than I had the season before. I’ve been learning and I’ve still got a lot to learn.”
Liverpool have picked up 26 points from their first 10 Premier League games, putting them joint top with Manchester City, and also sit at the summit of Group C at the halfway point of the Champions League pool stage.
And Gomez revealed that there is a buoyant atmosphere around Melwood ahead of Saturday’s trip to Arsenal.
“The vibe’s obviously good. All the lads are just looking forward to every game. Obviously we’ve had an intense schedule, so it’s thick and fast really,” he states.
“It’s good, that’s what we enjoy - game after game, getting the chance to perform every week.”
Watch Gomez star on LFC Later at 9.15pm GMT on Thursday on LFCTV and LFCTV GO.
