Jürgen Klopp's side beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Madrid to complete an incredible journey of redemption following defeat in last season's final in Kiev.
Afterwards, the world's media spoke to joyous members of the Liverpool squad and here are some of the best bits of what they had to say...
Trent Alexander-Arnold (BT Sport)
It's hard to put into words what has just happened, and the celebrations that will happen tonight.
The season we have had, I think we have deserved it more than any other team. The run that we have had, we have beaten everyone in our path and we have done something special again tonight.
Origi getting the late goal has finished Tottenham off. We were being dominated through parts of the game but we are a world-class side and we showed we can win any game.
When we look back on tonight we are not going to think it was a sluggish game, we are going to think we have just won the European Cup. And we have just done it for all these fans.
I'm just a normal lad from Liverpool whose dream has just come true.
Mohamed Salah (BT Sport)
Everyone did their best to win the game. It's not an individual performance for anyone. All the team were unbelievable today. Congratulations to all of us and all the fans around the world.
I sacrificed a lot in my career - especially to go [travel] from my village to Cairo to play football [when I was young]. And to be an Egyptian at this level is unbelievable for me.
I'm very happy to play a second final in a row and to play 90 minutes finally!
Jürgen Klopp (UEFA.com)
It was an intense season with the most beautiful finish I ever could have imagined.
The final is about the result and tonight the boys showed the resilience we needed.
In the end [Alisson] had to make a few saves and looked unbeatable! I don’t want to explain why we won it, I only want to enjoy that we won it.
We'll celebrate together, we’ll have a sensational night. I feel mostly relief, relief for my family. The last six times we flew on holiday with only a silver medal - it didn’t feel too cool.
Going to Liverpool tomorrow with something to celebrate is big and I’m really looking forward to that.
Jordan Henderson (BT Sport)
Without this manager, this is impossible. You go through tough times in a season, but what he has done since coming in is unbelievable.
There's such a togetherness, he has created a special dressing room - all the praise goes to the manager.
I'm so proud to be a part of this football club and to cap it with this is so special to me.
I've had tough times but I've kept going - just as this club has. It's the best moment of my life, this is what I dreamed of since I was a kid.
It's not about me, it's not about me being captain or lifting the trophy, it's about this club, these players, this manager. Now we must keep going and kick on.
Sadio Mane
It was a long way to go, but we finally did it together. It was not easy, but that's what makes people love football.
We are very proud and very happy to win this trophy. The dream has come true. I could not have anything better.
I can't describe how good Alisson was - I saw him make incredible saves for us. We are very happy to have him in our squad. He makes us even better. For me he is the best in the world.
We have more things to come. We will do everything to win [more] trophies with this squad.
Georginio Wijnaldum
We are still in a moment where we have to realise that we have just won the Champions League. What a season we had. It's good that we finished it with a medal.
We played better games this season, but at the end it doesn't matter if you win the game.
We could have done better but I prefer not to play well and to win the game, because they played quite well and didn’t win it. That's what we learned during the years.
Let's hope that this is just the beginning because that means we still can win titles. If this is the beginning, it's a good beginning and hopefully more [trophies] will follow.
Next, hopefully, we can win the Premier League.
