The meeting with Thomas Frank’s side will conclude a trio of Anfield fixtures within a week, following victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham respectively.
Wednesday night’s 1-0 success against the Cottagers extended the Reds’ winning sequence to five matches in the Premier League and Fabinho is pleased they will have the chance to make it six on the spin on home turf.
“Yes, it’s not every time you have three games in a row at home, so we have to enjoy it. We don’t have to travel and we play at home with the support of our fans. It’s always good to play at Anfield,” the midfielder told Liverpoolfc.com.
“We already won two tough games, against Spurs and Fulham. We will have a really hard game against Brentford. We know their way to play, we lost the first game against them. We know what we have to do, we will try to recover and be fresh on Saturday as well.”
Liverpool lost 3-1 in the reverse fixture at Gtech Community Stadium back in January and Fabinho knows lessons must be learned if they are to improve on that scoreline this time around.
“They showed how good they are in set-pieces and counter-attacks. So, it’s something we have to be aware [of] and be better [at],” the Brazil international said.
“We have a couple of days to rest and prepare this game. Hopefully the team will be with the same spirit and same intensity and do our best to win the game.”
A late-season burst of strong form has put Jürgen Klopp’s side in with a chance of achieving Champions League qualification, with Fabinho believing past experience will help as they strive to break into the top four.
The No.3 stated: “Everybody is fighting for something. We are fighting to reach the top four, Brentford I think still have hopes to be in Europe.
“So, yes, we are used to this moment of the season - you can’t drop points really. We have this experience, we always fight for something; most of the time it was for being top of the league and for the trophy, this season it is to be in the top four.
“We will try to use the experience to get the results that we need.”
