He is therefore ready to play his part as the Reds aim to follow up the midweek win over Crystal Palace with another at the Hong Kong Stadium before they fly back to Merseyside.
Nathaniel Clyne’s fitness, meanwhile, is continuing to improve on a daily basis and the No.2 undertook more intensive rehabilitation work today.
The England international is on course to re-join the rest of his teammates in full training when the squad arrives in Germany next week.
