Legends help out at Foundation and Hertha soccer clinic
A trio of Liverpool legends were on hand to help LFC Foundation and Hertha BSC coaches deliver a special soccer clinic for local children in Berlin on Friday.
Gary McAllister, Vladimir Smicer and Patrik Berger headed to the Olympiastadion for a soccer camp held in celebration of the 125th anniversaries of both clubs.
The former players put the local youngsters aged seven to 14 through their paces in dribbling and keepy-up challenges before engaging them in skills ‘n’ drills and speed and agility sessions.
Smicer said: “We’ve had a brilliant day here with the local kids – it’s been a lot of fun.
“It’s great to be working alongside Hertha BSC to mark both of our 125th birthdays and allow the local children and young people to enjoy learning new skills.
“125 years is a big anniversary and it’s important to mark occasions like this and acknowledge where each club has come from.”
