A new history section launches on Liverpoolfc.com
On the 125th anniversary of Liverpool's first ever match, a brand new history section has launched on Liverpoolfc.com to celebrate the club's achievements.
The dedicated tribute to the Reds’ illustrious past, and the people who have helped make it across a century-and-a-quarter, can be explored at liverpoolfc.com/history now.
A comprehensive timeline tells LFC’s remarkable tale, from founding father John Houlding’s creation of a new team back in 1892, through early successes, Bill Shankly’s revolution, domestic and European domination, and right up to the Jürgen Klopp era of the modern day.
Iconic players and revered managers feature in a new ‘Heroes’ section, which will be further populated in the months to come with more of the greatest figures in Reds history.
There’s plenty more too, with the redesigned collection painting a vivid picture of the characters, places and moments that have shaped and defined Liverpool FC.
