Special anniversary for first Reds boss' hometown club
The hometown club of Liverpool’s first ever manager, John McKenna, are celebrating a special anniversary today.
Glaslough Villa FC from County Monaghan, Ireland are commemorating their 25th anniversary.
A plaque dedicated to McKenna currently resides in the village of Glaslough in recognition of his achievements.
He was at the helm of Liverpool from the club’s creation in 1892 for four years, winning two Second Division titles.
