Watch again: Poignant event marks conclusion of Hillsborough inquests
A special civic event was held at St George's Hall on Wednesday evening to mark the historic conclusion of the Hillsborough inquests - and the full service can now be watched for free.
Liverpool City Council arranged the commemorative ceremony as an opportunity for the people of the city to come together with the families, survivors and campaigners following a landmark day in court.
Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson was joined by family members of the 96 for a service including tributes, music, speeches and reflections on the past 27 years since the disaster.
The names of the supporters who tragically died on April 15, 1989 were read out and displayed on large screens, and a choir performance of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ provided a poignant conclusion.
Many of those affected by the tragedy then spoke to LFCTV during a three-hour broadcast which is available to watch again by clicking play above.
The show was closed with a moving photographic tribute - embedded below - telling the story of a fight for justice that has lasted almost three decades.
