Lawrenson and Liddell to be inducted into Hall of Fame
The achievements of Liverpool legends Mark Lawrenson and Billy Liddell are set to be recognised later this year after it was announced that the pair will be inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame.
Lawrenson won five league titles, three League Cups, the FA Cup and the European Cup in an incredibly successful seven-year stint with the Reds.
Liddell, meanwhile, established himself as the first Anfield superstar during a 23-year stay and remains the club's fourth highest goalscorer of all-time.
And the duo's successes have now earned them a place in the Hall of Fame at the National Football Museum - an honour that will officially bestowed at a ceremony on Wednesday, October 19.
Liddell and Lawrenson will join fellow former Reds Ian Callaghan, Roger Hunt, Michael Owen, Graeme Souness and many, many more in the Hall of Fame.
National Football Museum director Dr. Kevin Moore said: "Our expectations have been surpassed this year as our inductees have continued to amaze us not just with their talent, but their commitment to the game."
