Liverpool FC has welcomed leading global business communications provider Mitel to the Reds family in a new multi-year partnership.

The technology company, which provides solutions to allow seamless communications and collaboration, is now the club’s official global unified communications partner.

The partnership will see LFC and Mitel work together to enhance the club’s fan experience by implementing innovative cloud-based communication and collaboration solutions, which will enable supporters to quickly and securely connect with the club from anywhere, and on any device, through voice calls and online.

The partnership will ensure better communication between LFC and fans by reducing call queuing times and response times, and creating a more efficient and seamless supporter experience.

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at LFC, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Mitel as our new official global unified communications partner. We are always looking for ways to enhance the experience that we provide to our supporters.

“With Mitel’s expertise, we will upgrade our technology and improve the speed and quality of our service. In addition, we will have the ability to introduce new channels and intelligent fan self-service capabilities. Ultimately, the partnership with Mitel will enable us to simplify fan journeys and create seamless interactions.”

Jeremy Butt, senior vice president, international, at Mitel, said: “Highly competitive organisations like Liverpool Football Club understand the importance of building all aspects of performance into their game plans, including the key role that communications and collaboration play on and off the pitch.

“Mitel is honoured to partner with LFC and deliver cloud services that will help elevate its club operations, increase staff productivity and support fan engagement.”

Mitel is already a part of the Fenway Sports Group family and the sporting world, through its current partnership with Major League Baseball and the Boston Red Sox.
