Liverpool FC Legends name squad for Rangers clash
Liverpool FC Legends have named their squad for Saturday’s clash with Rangers Legends at Ibrox.
14 players from the Reds’ history will take part in the fixture, including the likes of Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia and Dirk Kuyt.
Elsewhere, Rangers first-team manager Steven Gerrard is part of the squad, but could also make an appearance for his current employers.
“I always look forward to a game of football,” he said. “I’m going to play for Liverpool and who knows, there might be a little cameo in a blue shirt as well, we’ll have to see.”
Liverpool FC Legends squad: Jerzy Dudek, Glen Johnson, Jose Enrique, Jason McAteer, Steven Gerrard, Emile Heskey, Patrik Berger, Luis Garcia, Vladimir Smicer, Jermaine Pennant, Dirk Kuyt, Chris Kirkland, Jamie Carragher, Stephen Warnock.
The match will be shown live and free on LFCTV GO worldwide as well as the club’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts. LFCTV subscribers will also be able to watch live via their existing subscription.
A donation from the game will be made to LFC Foundation, the Reds’ official charity, which delivers a range of programmes and partnerships to create life-changing opportunities for children and young people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for children.

A legend gala dinner will take place the evening before the match, on Friday October 11, at the Glynhill Hotel, Glasgow.
The dinner will provide an opportunity to meet some of the stars taking part in the game and hear interviews and anecdotes, as well as enjoying a first-class three-course meal and wine.
Both LFC Foundation and Rangers Charity Foundation will benefit from the proceeds of the dinner. Tickets for the dinner are priced at £100 plus VAT per person or £1,000 plus VAT for a table of 10.
