Here is the key information for supporters who are attending Anfield for Saturday's 3pm BST kick-off against Brighton & Hove Albion.

How do I use the NFC passes?

For anyone who did not attend the first few home games of the season, please note stadium entry is now digital using an NFC ticket. This means all supporters in attendance at a fixture held at Anfield will use NFC tickets unless they have requested a photo ID card to access the stadium. There will be no Print@Home or paper tickets.

Supporters are reminded to download their digital ticket on to their NFC pass to their smartphone before arriving at Anfield.

A video with full guidance can be viewed below. App users should tap here to watch.

The ticket office will be open from 10am on Saturday. There will also be a number of NFC help desks around the stadium ahead of kick-off to give quick and easy support with any NFC pass issues.

Those supporters using an Android device to access the stadium also have the option of scanning the QR code that will be displayed on their NFC pass by holding their phone screen in front of the scanner at their turnstile. This may be a more efficient way to use the NFC pass for those fans who have missed the step of actively switching on NFC on their device. Please see our guide for more information on enabling NFC specifically on an Android device. For Apple device users, NFC should automatically be enabled.

Do I need a COVID passport for entry?

COVID certification spot checks will be in operation at this match and fans need to be prepared in case they are asked on entry by a steward to take part in the randomly selected spot check.

The spot checks will involve the club’s stewarding team selecting a small percentage of fans and colleagues at random to show their COVID-19 status and certifications. All home and away supporters attending the game should be prepared to present either proof of being double vaccinated with the NHS COVID Pass or a negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of kick-off. Children under the age of 18 are exempt from checks and will not be asked to participate.

How do I get an NHS COVID Pass?

You can get your NHS COVID Pass digitally through the NHS App or via the online NHS COVID Pass service. If you do not have a smartphone, you can download your digital NHS COVID Pass and print it to bring with you.

For more information, visit https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/

What types of questions will I be asked in the spot check?

Questions you will be asked:

  • Can you provide proof that you have been double vaccinated for COVID-19 or have proof of a negative lateral flow test taken in the last 48 hours?
  • If yes, what proof are you able to provide?
  • Do you currently have any COVID-19 symptoms? For example, a high temperature, a new or continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste?

The spot checks are not a condition of entry, but the club would like to prepare fans in case of a policy change to large scale events and COVID certification, and to keep supporters safe whilst attending matches.

Also, any fans with symptoms should follow the latest government guidelines on isolating and testing and should not attend the match.

What other COVID measures are in place?

To visit us safely, we are highly recommending that fans wear a face covering, wash or sanitise hands regularly and maintain distance from fellow supporters where possible. Although no longer required by government guidance we are still reminding fans about ‘hands, face, space’. Additional sanitiser is available around the stadium.

There will also be a Liverpool City Council mobile lateral flow test area for COVID tests to be taken ahead of kick-off. They will be located near the LFC retail store and open on matchday from 9am until kick-off.

Can I bring a bag to the stadium?

No bags are permitted in the stadium for general admission and hospitality tickets, and there is no bag storage facility. The only exceptions are:

  • Small A5 or smaller bags carrying hygiene products
  • Small A5 or smaller bags carrying medicines
  • Club shop bags carrying purchases from the LFC retail store

Those bags permitted will be subjected to a bag search on entry point.

What time should supporters arrive?

Supporters are encouraged to arrive at least 90 minutes before kick-off to avoid queues and allow for checks and search procedures. Queues may be likely the closer to kick-off you arrive. Turnstiles for general admission will open at 1pm and hospitality from 12pm.

What’s the best way to get to Anfield?

As this is a Saturday afternoon kick-off, please plan your journey to and from the stadium and view the updated travel map and route planner here.

Fans are also reminded that Anfield is home to many people, so we ask that you respect residents by leaving quietly and taking any litter home with you. There is also a residents parking scheme in operation. Please do not park on residential streets as parking enforcement will be in operation during matchdays. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.

How do I access the Anfield Road Stand?

For any home and away fans with tickets in the Anfield Road Stand, please note that Anfield Road is no longer a through road. Please check your ticket and your route for access point:

  • Home fans entering in turnstiles L, M and N must approach Anfield Road from the direction of Arkles Lane. At the end of the game when leaving the stadium, please turn right.

Food and drink will be served in the stadium. However, there will be no food containers outside for this fixture.
