Jordan relishing Luis link-up
Jordan Henderson has revealed he can't wait to line-up alongside Luis Suarez after witnessing at close hand just what a special talent the Copa America winner is.
Back in March the England international was an opposition admirer as Liverpool's No.7 scored a memorable goal during the 2-0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Henderson is now looking forward to helping Suarez continue his quest to mesmerise opposing Barclays Premier League defences in 2011-12.
"It's a massive opportunity for me to play for Liverpool under the manager and alongside players like Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez," Henderson told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"Suarez is a fantastic player. He has settled in brilliantly to the Barclays Premier League and I can't wait to play alongside him.
"I remember my first pre-season at Sunderland under Steve Bruce and I first saw him play in the Amsterdam Tournament for Ajax and he was brilliant and really stood out."

Our new No.14 pulled on the red shirt for the first time during last Saturday's outing with Valencia and he admits it was a special afternoon in L4.
"It was a big moment for me to make my home debut for Liverpool," he added.
"It gave me a great feeling to put on the red shirt for the first time at Anfield and I thought we played really well, so hopefully we can do the same on Saturday.
"I am looking forward to playing in front of these supporters because they are always with you and it is a pleasure to play for this club.
"I've already seen some of the city and I like it. The people are very friendly and I have settled in well."
In the win over Valencia Henderson played on the right side of midfield - a role he is happy to fulfil for the good of the team.
"It's a role I'm comfortable in and I played there a few times for Sunderland and I enjoyed it," he said.
"It doesn't bother me where I play and I'll give it everything I have got every time I put on the red shirt."
Such is the romance of football the fixture list only had to pair Liverpool v Sunderland as the opening game of the new campaign, but for Henderson any sentiment this afternoon will be put to one side for the 90 minutes.
"I was away with England U21s when the fixtures came out and I remember a few texts were flying round when we found out who the first game was," he added.
"At the end of the day it's just another game and it had to come around some time, so why not the first game?
"It will seem a little bit strange to play against them but they are a totally different side, with only one or two of the lads involved from when I was there.
"I've just got to treat it as a normal game. I've moved on now and I'm a Liverpool player and hopefully Liverpool will get the right result.
"You want to play in every game and I'm no different because I want to play for Liverpool as much as I can, so hopefully I will get the nod on Saturday and I am looking forward to it.

"The Sunderland squad looks really strong and they have signed some good experienced players and knowing the manager and the staff, there's a good character amongst them. I'm sure they will do well this season.
"I've got a lot of good memories from my time at Sunderland. I started there at the age of seven and it was a big part of my life.
"Every time I put on that Sunderland shirt the fans were brilliant to me. I've got a lot of friends there, from the players, through to the staff, the manager and the Chairman who were great to me.
"I've got a lot of good memories from Sunderland and I would like to thank them all for that, but I'm a Liverpool player now and I just want to carry on the work I was doing there and keep progressing.
"I just want to do well for this club and repay the faith they have shown in me by bringing me here, and keep getting better and improving."
