Skrtel: It was special
Martin Skrtel admits it was a 'special' feeling to get back into action as he completed 90 minutes in Wednesday night's Carling Cup second round tie victory over Exeter City.
The centre-back made his first appearance of the campaign after recovering from injury as Liverpool dispatched the League One club 3-1 at St James Park.
Skrtel told his official website: "I've really missed this. I am very happy that we secured our way into the next round.
"For me it was special because I've missed this feeling a lot.
"It is great to be back and my leg was alright, so I hope it will be okay from now on.
"It was a good performance and Luis (Suarez) played really well."
