Dalglish: It's fantastic news
Kenny Dalglish today welcomed news the government have confirmed all files relating to the Hillsborough disaster will be released to the public once they have been viewed by the families of the 96.
The Liverpool boss said: "It's fantastic news for the families.
"This isn't a political issue anyway - it's a humanitarian one. At least common sense has prevailed and we can get on.
"Andy Burnham deserves a hell of a lot of credit for what he's done. He pushed it forward two years ago, he's stuck to his word and delivered as best he possibly could.
"Everything is looking positive for the families. Everybody, irrespective of the team they support, has made a massive contribution towards the success they're having at the moment, so long may it continue because it was Liverpool Football Club (at Hillsborough) but it could have been any football club. I think people respect that."
