A little over 10 years on from the unprecedented cup treble of 2001, Liverpool are set to mark the occasion with a night not to be missed at Anfield on October 7 - and this is your last chance to be a part of it.

Phil Thompson and Gary McAllister will host a special dinner in which they'll recollect behind-the-scenes tales and relive memories and moments from that historic 2000-01 campaign.

The pair both played integral parts in a breathtaking season that witnessed the Reds bring the League, FA and UEFA Cups back to Anfield and secure qualification for the Champions League.

Make sure you don't miss your opportunity to relive one of the greatest seasons in the club's history - ticket details are available at the foot of this page.

Ahead of the event, Liverpoolfc.tv caught up with Thompson, the Reds' assistant manager during the treble season, to get the lowdown on the class of 2001...

Sander Westerveld

A Dutch goalkeeper who had a fantastic season. He was an absolute top-quality 'keeper and probably one of the best strikers of a ball with his feet that you will ever see for a goalkeeper.

Markus Babbel

A great player and a great guy. He could have done all kinds, but obviously he had his illness. But what a player. He could play right-back or centre-back and was absolutely brilliant. He popped up with some crucial goals.

Jamie Carragher

What can one say? Carra was here then and is still here now. Always reliable, a good player and played a lot of the season at left-back. He was a vital, vital cog in our machine.

Stephane Henchoz

Stephane was great - if you ever saw a block in the penalty box, you knew the ever-reliable Stephane Henchoz would be there.

Sami Hyypia

A wonderful servant and a fantastic player. He could have played any position in the team - centre midfield, centre-back and probably could have even played up front. He was an absolutely terrific guy to work with.

Christian Ziege

Probably one of the unsung heroes at the time, but again he was vital at left-back or left midfield. He was always very creative and could score a goal or provide a fantastic assist.

Steven Gerrard

Stevie G was one of the younger lads. When I look at 2001, and he was there with his short haircut and the rest! But my goodness, how reliable, as he still is now. He would always pop up with a sensational goal.

Danny Murphy

Danny - the scourge of Manchester United! He was a great player and enjoyed a great season. In the centre of midfield, you could always pick him out and no matter how he was playing, he always wanted the ball. A great player.

Gary McAllister

It will probably be known as the 'Gary Mac' year. Have a look at the season and particularly towards the end, Gary McAllister was involved in everything that went on in the back end of that 2001 season.

Dietmar Hamann

A great link player. People talk about the likes of Makelele and Mascherano later on, but it didn't get much better than Didi Hamann in the centre of midfield.

Nick Barmby

As you know with Nicky from his days at Everton, he was always there for a vital goal - and when you want to win things, you need players in midfield who can come up with vital goals. It was a fantastic season for Nicky Barmby.

Vladimir Smicer

He was just one of those players who I wish could have been a lot fitter and played more games because he was so vital. He had silky skills and was always there scoring vital goals from midfield.

Patrik Berger

What a sweet left foot! He was there from 1996 after the Euros and what a great career he had at Liverpool, scoring vital goals. We'll always remember him for the power shots from 35 yards. A top man.

Igor Biscan

Igor played his part that season and was a great player. Probably could always be remember for getting sent off against Everton, but he was a good lad and a good player who probably never done himself enough justice in that season.

Emile Heskey

Fantastic, reliable and always there with hold-up play in attack. He enjoyed a great goalscoring season.

Michael Owen

He scored goals and won the Ballon d'Or - and if you win the Ballon d'Or you have had to do your stuff to be the best player in Europe. Scored goals up and down the country in all our games, and home and away in Europe.

Robbie Fowler

It was a difficult season for Robbie as he was in and out of the side, but he never let it affect him. He was always reliable and scoring the goals that mattered in all of the big games.

Jari Litmanen

Jari didn't play as much as he would have liked in that year, but he was one of those players you could just fit in if you wanted to change a game. He could always see a pass for an assist.

Djimi Traore

Was one of the young lads who came in who always wanted to play at centre-back, but we couldn't really fit him in there and so he played at left-back. He played his part in a fantastic season.

Gerard Houllier

As we know, it was a brilliant season for him. Who would know at that particular time, while we were basking in the glory of what we were doing at home and in Europe, what would happen in October the following season.

Phil Thompson

The trauma of 2000-01, the highs and the lows that came with it - and there were a few lows where we had to dig deep - affected me greatly. But what a great place to be and I wouldn't have wished for anything else other than to be on that touchline alongside my mate, Gerard Houllier.
