The view from Wolves
Wolves fan Alex Richards provides the view from Molineux ahead of Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash at Anfield.
How are Wolves fans feeling heading into the game?
Supporters would have been feeling much better two weeks ago. After a good start to the season with some good performances, the home defeats against Spurs and QPR have left many feeling deflated and nervous that perhaps the season is going to be another scrap against survival, rather than a season spent in mid-table mediocrity, after all.
What can we expect from the away fans?
Expect plenty of noise, singing and good banter, and plenty of raucous support for the team. Away support always tends to be more noisy and less fickle than at Molineux.
Best and worst thing about being a Wolves fan?
Best thing is this run of successive seasons in the Premier League and taking on the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and the great atmosphere games with them generate at Molineux. However, the worst thing is the fickle nature of some fans who expect that because the side has obtained shock results against the supposed 'big boys' in the past, they should automatically beat anyone outside the top 10. It doesn't work like that.
Best way to beat Wolves?
Overloading down the left side of our team. Jarvis, whilst a threat going forwards rarely helps out his full-back, and although Ward is decent, Elokobi is an accident waiting to happen.
Weak links in your team?
The aforementioned Elokobi. Terrific character and built like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 80's, but he can be exploited, especially by wingers like Downing and tricky dribblers like Suarez.
How will your gaffer player it?
McCarthy's had the side playing 4-4-2 so far this season to utilise two of our best players, Kevin Doyle and Stephen Fletcher. Fletcher missed the QPR match through injury and we stayed 4-4-2 but really lacked threat. I would prefer to go 4-5-1 and leave Doyle up top alone if Fletcher isn't fit, and bring into midfield either Milijas and his passing ability, or Guedioura for his tenacity.
Player we need to keep an eye on?
If Jamie O'Hara plays well then Wolves tend to play well. Likes to get on the ball and dictate the pace of the game, if he's on form then Wolves will create chances especially when he links up with Stephen Hunt. The two have a decent understanding and can cause problems with O'Hara's passing and Hunt's movement and energy.
Players you're worried about on our side?
Unquestionably Suarez, especially up against Berra who likes to grab a hold of his strikers and get touch tight. Suarez's low centre of gravity and trickiness could well cause him and Roger Johnson problems in and around the box.
Score prediction?
Heart says another shock 1-0 away win, hope says we nick a point 1-1, but head says Suarez proves too good and Liverpool win it 2-1.
