What's the general mood among Everton fans heading into this one?

There is currently a lot of unrest around off-the-field matters, and the direction the board is heading. The level of unrest swings wildly depending on who you ask. On the field things are slightly more positive. Our start to the season has not been great, but compared to our recent starts to the league campaign we are flying. We know we are miles off the top few sides but Europa League remains the current target.

One song we're bound to hear?

We're not likely to bring anything new to the party this season. There's not a great deal that rhymes with Stracqualarsi.

Liverpool player you secretly wish played for Everton?

I don't think it's much of a secret that most fans of other clubs would like to see Suarez on the other side of the teamsheet. I also wouldn't mind Downing. Not that he is necessarily your best player, but width is another option with which we are not currently blessed with depth in the squad.

Best way to beat Everton?

Our strengths are sometimes our weaknesses. Baines is arguably our best player on current form, but his attacking nature and set-piece duties can often mean he does not start from the best position defensively. I would expect Suarez to drop to that side looking for any gaps that have been left. Rodwell and Fellaini are expected to be in the centre. Our interception rate this season is currently the highest in the league; however, they have both been known to miss picking up runs behind them on occasions.

How will David Moyes play it?

I expect him to go back to a more attacking line up. We only have one player out injured, so Moyes has nearly a full complement to choose from - even if not all of them are deemed fully match fit. Saha has been out of the squad for most of the season but made a return from the bench last week. He still remains our best striker when we can get him on the pitch. The new boy Drenthe is also pushing for his first start. His pace offers us something that we don't have in abundance.

Best thing about a trip to Goodison?

Well from a Liverpool point of view location must be good. You can use your normal watering holes pre/post match and take the usual flight from Oslo (joke!). It's certainly a unique and historic ground. A throwback to the pre-SKY days. The crowd are right on top of the game and I'm sure that during the derby the players will soon get to hear that. It's a beautiful sight as it rises out of the surrounding terraces.

And the worst?

It's showing its age. Specifically on the corporate side. The match day revenue is not enough for a side with our aspirations in the league. It's no secret that the stadium issue is the biggest single obstacle facing our club at the moment.

What's your pre-derby routine?

The routine is the same as for any game, it's just the nerves that are different.

Talk us through what you'll be like if you win and if you lose?

Everyone loves the derby bragging rights, just as much as they hate being on the receiving end. I am no different. I will be winding my red friends up if we win and turning my phone off and sulking if we lose. Strangely I'd rather lose comfortably than have the points stolen from us, but conversely I'd quite like to stick four or five past you lot.

One derby wish?

A win. Does it need to be any more complicated than that? A clean sheet would also be a nice change this season. A Tony Hibbert 30-yard wonder strike to make it 1-0 in injury-time would go down quite nicely.

Prediction?

I'm not sure either side will keep a clean sheet. I'll stick my neck on a 2-1 win for us. Late goals being order of the day.
