In our latest starlet in profile interview, we spoke to Jordan Lussey ahead of the U18s' clash with Blackburn this afternoon.

The all-action midfielder has made a huge impression in his first season with Mike Marsh's youngsters and has already caught the eye with some fantastic goals from distance.

Here he tells us why he'd love to give Yalany Baio a makeover, which Academy goalkeeper likes to showcase some skills and how his Dad keeps his feet on the ground by reminding him about his worst moment in football.

Who would win at 'skill skool'?

Our goalkeeper Connor Wearing would be in there. He'd be my surprise inclusion. He's got a few tricks up his sleeve. Kris 'the Swede' Peterson is skilful and Tom Walsh is good with the ball too. They are all talented lads but I think the winner would be Jack Dunn. He's got some great tricks and he'd come out on top.

If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I'd love to go to America or Australia. I want to see what it's like on the other side of the world. The weather seems great in both places and that would do nicely for me.

Last album downloaded?

I was on iTunes the other day getting some new songs for my iPod. I've just got the new Ed Sheeran album. I like his stuff and I'm looking forward to listening to it all.

Last film watched?

I was in bed the other night totally shattered after our last match at Wolves and I started watching 'Saving Private Ryan'. That's a great film.

Favourite TV show?

That has to be Match of the Day. I look forward to it every week. If we are talking about non-football programmes then I'd say Live at the Apollo. I think Michael McIntyre is hilarious.

Worst dresser?

Ryan McLaughlin came in wearing an Irish football shirt the other day. The lads weren't having any of that. Dave Moli comes in wearing some strange stuff from time to time too.

Worst taste in music?

Yalany Baio. He loves his Portuguese music. He's a nightmare with it. I wouldn't trust him with the iPod on the speaker system.

Who is in charge of the dressing room stereo?

Tom King's iPod goes on the most. He's got the most up-to-date tunes so he often gets the nod.

Best moment in football so far?

I'd say it was in the U18s' opening league game this season against Cardiff. It was live on LFC TV and I managed to score a good goal to get us back level. That was a great feeling. It was just a shame we didn't go on to get that win.

Worst or most embarrassing moment relating to football...

I remember a couple of seasons ago I scored an own goal. I can't remember who we were playing but a corner came in and I tried to charge down a shot. It took a horrible deflection and flew into the net. It was a nasty feeling. I think we came back to draw the game but I got some serious stick from my Dad after it. He was loving it.

Which three teammates would be the most useful to get trapped on a desert island with - and why?

Michael Wilson would be one. He is the brains of our group. Sam Gainford is a funny lad so it'd be nice to have some humour out there. And the third one would be Yalany Baio. He gets a lot of stick and it would be great for the banter.

If you could take one of the lads to have their haircut, who would it be?

Yalany Baio. There's no question about that. I know the lads have all picked him so far and he even picked himself. That says it all! We need to get it shaved off.

Teammate who spends longest in front of the mirror?

I'd say Baio again. He's always looking at himself, tensing his muscles!

Best ever player in your position?

Steven Gerrard. I've looked up to him all of my life. I've been a red as long as I can remember and I aspire to be like him in the future.

Best thing about playing for Liverpool FC?

I support Liverpool and so do all of my family, so to play here is just a great feeling.

And just finally, you play Blackburn today. It's important to build on the 4-0 win at Wolves, isn't it?

Yes, definitely. We were really happy with how we played against Wolves. We want to kick on again now and keep improving. We know from games against Blackburn at other age groups that they are a strong side and it will be a difficult game. We'll look forward to it though and it'd be nice to get that first home win under our belts ahead of the derby at Everton the following the week.
