Why Suarez shirt winner donned a kilt
Liverpool's major rivals and the club's Scottish influence were key elements in the photograph that emerged triumphant in our Facebook seven million competition.
James Borschel's recreation of a kilt-wearing Luis Suarez celebrating amidst the dismay of Manchester United and Chelsea players proved to be a hit with supporters, as 43 per cent of you identified it as the clear winner.
So what prompted James to don a kilt in order to secure the prize of a signed Suarez shirt?
"Well, at first I thought that I'd just wear a kilt as I'm Scottish like the manager and there have been a few great Scottish players and managers in Liverpool's history," explained James.
"But then I considered that to be a bit too simple. That's when I got the idea to put Liverpool's fiercest rivals, Manchester United and Everton FC, together in the frame with Suarez showing the others that Liverpool are back.
"Unfortunately I couldn't organise an Everton shirt so I thought about the transfers that have happened recently and decided Chelsea would be the best possible replacement.
"After I managed to organise the shirts of the rival teams I just asked two mates to help me out a bit and they were happy to oblige - although none of them are Man Utd or Chelsea fans!
"So we headed for the local football pitch and took a few photos. I chose the best and that was that. I'm glad the fans enjoyed it and I'm made up to have won the prize."
