Johnson: It's great to be back
Glen Johnson is targeting a return to Barclays Premier League duty against Norwich City after emerging from his latest comeback unscathed.
The England full-back featured for 66 minutes in Tuesday night's friendly at Rangers and is now aiming to continue his recovery when Liverpool host the Canaries at the weekend.
Johnson said: "It was just fantastic to be back playing again.
"Obviously I've been a long time out and it's been a hard few months for me but fingers crossed I'm over all that now.
"The last two injuries were pretty much on the same spot and it's been difficult to try to stay positive.
"It's always disappointing when you are nearly fit and then it goes again but hopefully that's all behind me now.

"I want to push on from this and we all want to get three points against Norwich."
In Johnson's absence, Martin Kelly has continued to enhance his reputation with a series of eye-catching displays.
The former Portsmouth defender acknowledges that the home-grown starlet has impressed and accepts he may have a battle on his hands to wrestle back the right-back berth.
"Martin has done really well as have all the lads since I've been out and hopefully that will continue," Johnson said.
"We've got good competition in every position and it's good for the club."
Liverpool's midweek trek to Scotland ended in a 1-0 defeat following Lee McCulloch's first-half strike.
However, Johnson feels the Reds will have taken some pluses from the run out.
He added: "It was a disappointing result but other than Alexander Doni (who dislocated a finger) there were no other injuries and everyone else is fit for Saturday which is positive."
