Borrell satisfied with victory
Rodolfo Borrell declared himself a happy man after his reserves side produced another superb display to beat Bolton Wanderers 3-1 at the Kirkby Academy on Tuesday afternoon.
Suso, Adam Morgan and Raheem Sterling were all on the mark as the second string built on last week's win over Chelsea.
"We must be happy in terms of the result but in terms of the performance we need to be more consistent during the 90 minutes," said Borrell.
"I told the lads at half time we needed top keep the ball better because the game was too open and there was chances at both ends of the pitch.
"We could have scored in the first half but we corrected that in the second half. We scored some good team goals and we played well against a strong team.
"We are improving week by week and we must keep on working and getting better.

"We have had two good wins now against Chelsea and Bolton. Winning is important and I never hide that.
"Liverpool Football Club has a winning mentality and I always like to win. We have a young team this season and we are facing teams with older and experienced players. Sometimes it isn't easy as if you make a mistake this can be punished, but we are doing well and we must keep doing the right things."
Skipper Andre Wisdom added: "It was a great win for us and we are pleased with our performance.
"We did a great job against Chelsea last week and it is good to continue that with another good display against Chelsea.
"We scored some good team goals and everyone worked hard."

Borrell's side was boosted by the inclusion of Jon Flanagan and Danny Wilson who both played 90 minutes, with the Scottish international partnering Wisdom at centre-half.
Wisdom added: "Danny and Flanno are great players and it was good to play with them. They are still young as well and we are all learning together.
"We now look forward to Blackburn on Monday and hopefully we can get another win."
